Technical Supervisors – Head Coaches
The Supervisors are former AC Milan players of proven national and international prestige or coaches of the highest profile and reputation. They have the task of planning the purely technical part of the AC Milan Junior Camp, that is the training and in general all the work that is done on the football fields.
The Supervisors present at the AC Milan Junior Camp 2024 are:
Walter De Vecchi
Walter De Vecchi played for AC Milan in the 1974-1975 season and again from 1978 to 1981, for a total of 102 appearances with AC Milan, with which he won the Scudetto (Italian Championship) in 1979.
Since 2012 he has held various positions as coach at AC Milan Youth Sector and then since 2019 he is in charge of coordinating all AC Milan Youth Sector’s competitive teams (U15/U16/U17/U18).
Pietro Vierchowod
Pietro Vierchowod is a former top-world Italian defender, world champion in 1982 with the Italian national team. After playing for several teams as Fiorentina, Roma, Sampdoria and Juventus, he joined AC Milan in 1996.
Considered one of the best defenders ever, during his career he won with different Clubs (Roma and Sampdoria) 2 Serie A championships, 4 Italian Cups, 2 Italian Super Cups, 1 Cup Winners’ Cup and 1 Champions League (with Juventus). With the Italian National Team he won the World Cup in 1982 and the bronze Medal in 1990
Diego Bortoluzzi
Diego Bortoluzzi made his debut with Atalanta in 1985, then he played in Serie B with Brescia, Venice and finally Treviso (from 1997 to 2002), of which he became captain and leader.
Afterwards he was First Coach in Serie A of Treviso and Palermo football Clubs, Assistant Coach (of Francesco Guidolin) in Serie A of Palermo, Parma and Udinese football Clubs and in Premier League of Swansea City; also he was Andrea Mandorlini’s Assistant Coach in Serie A of Verona football Club (2015 -2016 season)
Filippo Galli
He is mostly remembered for his lengthy and successful football career with A.C. Milan, where he played alongside Baresi, Maldini, Costacurta, and Tassotti, forming a strong defensive line-up under managers Arrigo Sacchi and Fabio Capello, in the teams which were respectively known as The Immortals and The Invincibles; during his 15 seasons with the Club, he won five Serie A titles and three UEFA Champions League titles, among other trophies.
About his coaching career, from 2006 to 2018 he was the official coach of the AC Milan “U21” team.
In July 2008 Filippo Galli joined the coaching technical staff of the AC Milan First Team and he was one of the two assistant of Carlo Ancelotti. From 2009 to 2018 Filippo Galli was the AC Milan Youth Department Manager.
